<p>Jean-Michel Vanasse est l&#8217;animateur et producteur de l&#8217;émission <a href="http://vtele.ca/webtele/lejournaltechno/">Le Journal Techno</a>. Avant d&#8217;être diffusée à la télé sur les ondes de V, <a href="http://www.jeanmichelvanasse.tv/">Le Journal Techno était exclusivement une webtélé</a>. Pour son travail, Jean-Michel doit se tenir au courant des nouvelles tendances de l&#8217;internet et suivre l&#8217;évolution des technologies. Comme il est un artisan de la webtélé québécoise, Jean-Michel suit particulièrement cet univers.</p>
<p>Même si la webtélé est toujours en pleine expansion au Québec et dans le monde, cet univers a passablement changé au cours des derniers mois. Pour se démarquer, les nouvelles séries doivent non seulement être originale, mais également de qualité technique. Dans sa conférence du 15 juin, Jean-Michel Vanasse nous donnera son point de vue sur l&#8217;industrie de la webtélé au Québec.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Facebook, un simple terrain de jeu? Un réseau social dépassé? Loin de là, si l’on pense à l’aspect humain et à la diversité des contenus et des échanges que peut supporter la plateforme (vidéo, photo, discussion, pages personnalisées…).</p>
<p>Lors de la prochaine rencontre 3e mardi | Third Tuesday Montréal, Nathalie Pilon nous présentera une étude de cas sur l’intranet 2.0 de l&#8217;entreprise manufacturière <a href="http://www.groupecanam.ws/www/v4/gc.nsf" target="_blank">Groupe Canam</a>. En se basant sur les résultats de projets pilotes, le comité chargé de cette plateforme inspirée de Facebook intègre graduellement des outils participatifs à l&#8217;ancien intranet: profils d’employé bonifiés; zone interactive avec blogue du président, espaces collaboratifs et forums de discussion; infolettre créée par les employés; outil de partage vidéos (CanamTube) et photos; etc.</p>
<p>Le projet vise à permettre à l’ensemble des employés, incluant les employés d’usine et les retraités, d’avoir accès à l’intranet de l’extérieur des établissements et de favoriser leur participation en tant que générateurs de contenu. Ces changements modifient la dynamique des communications internes dans l’entreprise.</p>
<p><strong>Conférencière : Nathalie Pilon</strong><br />
Diplômée en communication publique de l’Université Laval, Nathalie Pilon fait partie du service corporatif des communications de Groupe Canam depuis 1997. Elle est actuellement directrice des communications électroniques de l’entreprise et de ses segments d’affaires et elle collabore activement au développement de projets corporatifs, dont la stratégie 2.0 de l&#8217;entreprise.</p>
<p>En 2009, elle a remporté un prix d&#8217;excellence platine remis par la SQPRP, dans la catégorie Communications électroniques et interactives, pour le projet «Facebook, la communauté Canam». Cette étude de cas a été publiée dans le livre <em>Web 2.0: la communication iter-active</em> ainsi que <em>L&#8217;exercice des relations publiques, de propagande à interinfluence : vers une orientation postmoderne</em>, publié par Les Presses de l&#8217;Université du Québec.</p>

Geography is no longer an issue for making connections and finding people we have things in common with. It&#8217;s an exciting time. But while this positive change is taking place in our personal lives, the professional world seems more than a bit confused. Like a bull in a china shop, companies that come lumbering into online communities trying to &#8216;make friends&#8217; and grow an audience mostly end up being all kinds of annoying. Most people aren&#8217;t joining Facebook or Twitter to get more ads, but 89% say they do want to be able to interact with brands.So what is the issue? The issue is there is a big value gap between what the human beings interacting on social networks espouse and what businesses are approaching us with. This talk discusses those values and highlights the companies who don&#8217;t need or care about the number of fans they are gathering on their Facebook pages because they do it right: they align with human values.</p>
<p><strong>Speaker: Tara Hunt</strong></p>
<p>Tara ‘missrogue’ Hunt, named as one of the most influential women in technology by Fast Company Magazine, has spent the past fifteen years living her life online. From the first wave of online marketing as it emerged in the late 90’s while in Canada all the way to being a pioneer of new marketing in Silicon Valley in 2005, leading the wave into Web 2.0: the participatory web.</p>
<p>Tara understands how the participatory web is changing all of our relationships: B2C, B2B and C2C. She doesn’t believe in pushing messages or creating strong brands, only in the power of building relationships. After spending 4 years in San Francisco, she moved to Montreal to write her next book (working title ‘Happiness as Your Business Model’) in August 2009.</p>

The strategy relies on five local bloggers, selected for their genuine passion and authentic insight for arts and culture, epicurean life, girls’ getaways, gay life, and nightlife. Since last spring, they have been sharing their discoveries, best ofs and top 5s through blogs, web videos, Facebook, pictures, Twitter… and giving out famous <st1:city w:st="on">the Montreal</st1:city> bagels in <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Toronto</st1:place></st1:city>! Beyond sending out their suggestions and tips, they asked for feedback, answered questions and exchanged with their ‘friends’ and followers in diverse ways. (I happened to be following the arts &amp; culture and epicurean life bloggers from the start, out of personal interest.)<o:p></o:p></span></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In a special Sunday edition of Third Tuesday Montreal, Shel Israel, co-author of Naked Conversations, will be here Sunday, September 13th at 6:00 PM to speak about his new book, Twitterville: How Businesses Can Thrive in the New Global Neighborhoods.Shel Israel writes, speaks, advises and tweets on social media and was the very first speaker at Third Tuesday when it launched in Toronto in 2006. A former PR practitioner and an early adopter of Twitter, he has been participating in conversations and observing how social media is changing the way we approach communications.</p>
<p>Twitterville examines how businesses have been using Twitter to engage with their customers, build loyalty and increase sales. It is the natural extension of Naked Conversations, which Shel wrote with Robert Scoble in 2006, on how blogging brought new opportunities for companies to reach their customers. <a href="http://redcouch.typepad.com/weblog/2009/07/twitterville-excerpt-introduction.html">You can read the introduction</a> to Twitterville on Shel&#8217;s blog, <a href="http://redcouch.typepad.com/">GlobalNeighbourhoods.net</a>.</p>
